We took the night bus from Buenos Aires south to Puerto Madryn. The bus was actually quite nice. They served a hot dinner as well as breakfast and the seats were just like the ones in first class on a plane. We still didn't sleep all that well, but it could have been a whole lot worse.

The sunrise from the bus was beautiful.

I was quite surprised by how flat the landscape was. We drove hours with no hills, trees, lakes or anything else in sight. We did see sheep, but I have no idea where the farmers were who owned them. I think I only saw about 3 homesteads in our whole time on the bus.

Puerto Madryn was very nice, but very hot. We wandered the beach and town and took this photo from then end of the pier.

We had to leave Buenos Aires before the start of the Dakar Rally so we were thrilled that it came through town in Puerto Madryn. It was quite the shindig in town. The streets were lined to watch the trucks and motorcycles parading through town.
