Enjoying ourselves in Bangkok
After a non-eventful flight from Taipei to Bangkok, we got to our hotel room and were thrilled to find 24/7 air conditioning and a toilet in each room. It was like being at The Hilton. We were far enough away from Khao San Road to be away from the chaos, but close enough to use it as a reference point for tuk-tuk drivers. Although it was still hot, we all fell in love with Bangkok. There was just so much to do and see.
The kids were thrilled that ordering a beer with dinner was a simple as asking for one. Is there anything one cannot do on Khao San Road??
We went for some long walks along the river and enjoyed taking in all the sights. The contrast between old and new was astounding.
Kelly and Campbell continued their world tour of banana splits during lunch at the MBK Centre. It was a huge shopping centre with lots for everyone.
This was a little fellow we befriended at a local restaurant. He had more luck getting on the internet than I did!!
One of the many services available on Khao San Rd. Kelly got herself a henna tatoo.
