We woke up to a beautiful day for our ferry crossing to Vancouver Island. It was chilly outside with the wind, but that didn't keep us inside. During the crossing, the captain came on the intercom to tell us that there were just under 10,000 people on the ferry. That is one big ferry!!

The weather was perfect for strolling around Victoria Harbour. There was an antique boat show in town that was rather spectacular. We also watched some pretty amazing street performers and took a great drive up the coast.

Our hotel was in Sidney so we would be close to the ferry to Anacortes. It was quite the room. I'm trying to make sure the kids don't get the idea that this will be the norm.
