A short day of travel
We had originally planned on camping for 2 nights in the state park. When we decided to pass on the whole camping thing, we also decided to put in a few miles the next day to get us a little closer to San Francisco. We were quickly discovering that our estimations of time in the car were grossly underestimated, so every extra mile was a good thing. We stopped along the way to have lunch while we searched for the perfect beach.

Mission accomplished. Kelly and Campbell played in the surf for a couple of hours before the cold completely numbed them and they were ready to put a few miles on the car.
