Enjoying the truly amazing redwoods
I've seen lots of photos of the redwood forest, but nothing compares to actually being among them. We drove through the Avenue of the Giants and stopped for a long hike. By the time we got back to the car, my neck was hurting from looking up so far and for so long. I was lucky that my head didn't hurt too as I discovered I don't walk particularly straight while looking up! The photos won't do the reality justice, but it's the best we can do.
Lots to look at on our hike.
Campbell and Kelly hiking through the redwoods.
It's THIS BIG!!
Dean and Kelly "walk in" to the tree. Some of the holes were huge.
Kelly knows which sized tree to karate kick!!

These trees aren't so big. I can get my arms around them.
Okay, so maybe they are big.
